Caleb L. Stone
Principal
Caleb’s career has centered on creating and implementing land-focused solutions for complex problems associated with the A&D, development, and management of properties across multiple basins. Prior to co-founding ValleyView Energy, Stone directed the Land Department at Luxe Energy LLC and Luxe Minerals LLC. At Luxe, Caleb led the sourcing, acquisition, development, and divestment of assets owned by both Luxe companies. Before Stone’s time at Luxe, he took-on roles of increasing responsibility in Apache Corporation’s Permian office in Midland. While at Apache, Caleb created innovative solutions to facilitate long-lateral development programs in the Midland Basin. Stone’s career began at XTO Energy Inc. in Fort Worth, Texas managing XTO’s Marcellus Shale assets. Caleb earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Abilene Christian University and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas A&M University School of Law.
Drew Alfred
Director
Throughout his career, Drew has worn many hats amongst various top-tier acreage development teams and holds a unique set of skills, integral to any successful business group. Prior to joining ValleyView, Drew served as Senior Landman for the Permian Development team at BPX Energy in Denver. At BPX, Drew focused on organizing and managing BPX’s long-term development schedule in the Delaware Basin. Before Drew’s time at BPX, he served in the same role at Parsley Energy in Austin, Texas generating, evaluating and closing multiple large scale transactions while also serving as an area landman in the Midland Basin. Drew also spent time on the Permian Basin development team for Encana Oil and Gas (now Ovintiv), working closely with each discipline to clear high value horizontal wells. Drew began his career at Texas Royalty Corp in Austin, Texas as Vice President of Land, where he managed all aspects of the land department to support the vertical drilling program across multiple basins in the Lower 48. Drew earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Energy Commerce from Texas Tech University.
